Quiet, Quaint and Cozy Log Cabin Living!

Robin's Roost is not just a 5-star VRBO Property. It is 10+++ stars!!! Owner/Host Eric Norris is not just a VRBO Premier Host, he is a VRBO Supreme Premier Host. My wife and I first discovered this property during a VRBO search and had booked it for 4 nights in June, July & August 2021. My wife's cancer complications caused those three reservations to be cancelled. Fortunately we were able to find a 3 night vacancy for 9.21-24.2021. We have just returned. We live in Castle Rock, CO and the one way drive was just under three hours. The last 9 miles up the hill to the cabin took 25 minutes. Easy drive but a lot of curves and a 3000' elevation gain. The cabin is EXACTLY (my caps) as described in the VRBO description. If you read other reviews, the cabin is stocked with everything. Just bring your own food and beverages and you are set. The only thing missing is an ice maker in the refrigerator. So we did pack in two 20# bags of ice. However the owner does have an ice pellet maker (if I described that correctly) but we did not use it. I will tell you this. Except for the WiFi (which worked perfectly) and the TV's, you are totally off the grid. The cabin is exactly what you would expect of a cabin. Rustic, serene and QUIET (my caps again). Eric's pre-arrival communication with me was all email. And he is prompt with replies. The email that had the Guest Arrival Information and Door codes was the most thorough (15 pages I believe) I have ever seen. It leaves nothing to the imagination. Eric will give you is personal email address along with his cell number. The covered porch is perfect for kick-back relaxing. Zero contact with any neighbors, since you can't see them. For those of you using Google Maps (my favorite) I lost my AT&T coverage about 2 miles heading up the climb to the cabin. But for some reason, with NO SERVICE it continued to show me the correct route (and with verbal prompts) to the cabin. The cabin will be on your left just before you get to a cul-de-sac. And there are visible street signs strategically place. Without Google, I may have made a few wrong turns. As my review title says, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful property and cabin! Jeffrey S. - March 2021
We had a great time. Had some wonderful outings to Monarch and Salida and Canon City. Loved the warm, cozy cabin, the pool table, darts, the views and hiking around the property.
We didn't know the cabin was at 9,200 feet elevation! Was this in the description? We had a wonderful time.
The best! Kelly M. - March 2021
This is by far the nicest place I have rented in Colorado. We had a great time being "stuck" in a snowstorm. Plenty of amenities and very clean. Eric is a great host. I think my crew is already ready to book the cabin again for summer!
Fantastic cabin! Kaitlyn - January 2021
Fantastic "stay-cation" spot. We enjoyed the pool table (even though we're not that good at it.), the front porch in the mornings, and just being able to leave our work stress at home. Highly recommend this cabin and thank you Eric for help with our car situation yesterday. We would definitely stay here again.
Christmas trip getaway was more than we could have hoped for!

Very clean. Very prepared and very beautiful...Robin's Roost had MORE than we could ever asked for! Definitely recommend Eric's cabin 100 times over for anyone looking to ski, hunt, fish, snowmobile, or just have a quiaint getaway with their favorite people. : )
This home and property is beautiful. WE had an amazing time and enjoyed an early snowfall. Lana S. - September 2020
All the comforts of home. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are all top-notch. The Host is so friendly, always accessible and helpful. We especially wanted to thank the neighbor who cleared the snow for us. This was an exceptional act. Loved the porch and wood stove. Lots of fun things to do.
A great retreat. Emily C. - February 2020
This was the perfect retreat from a bustling city. It's a bit far to get to (from Denver at least), but the solitude and quiet are worth it. The two living rooms allowed our group to really stretch out. And our daughters loved sledding in the snow - there's a little hill behind the cabin. (Bring your own sleds.) Don't miss the sunrise! A magical view over the valley worth getting up for!
